Responsibilities

  • Responsible for management of the supply chain group insupport of fiber optic cable production and finished goods transportation tocustomers
  • Oversee activities of the various teams, which includesplanning & scheduling, raw material supply, optical fiber supply, and thedistribution center
  • Reviewing and updating supply chain practices in linewith company policies and standards
  • Work with third-party logistics suppliers and freightcompanies, monitoring and assessing their performance and maintainingcost-effective practices
  • Analyzing the supply chain data and solving any issues orputting
  • alternative plans in place
  • Participate in the SIOP (sales, inventory &operations planning) review
  • cycle to ensure proper goals are established each month
  • Develop SIOP process for the Jackson facility, includingLoose Tube and
  • Drop cables
  • Managing inventory levels in accordance with appropriatetargets, to
  • include VMI programs
  • Developing safety guidelines, teaching, and enforcing theprotocols
  • Supervising and training employees
  • Plan and implement the overall supply chain strategy,using APICS principles
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Customer Serviceteams
  • Determine key supply chain KPIs - on-time shipment,inventory levels,
  • DIO, production volume (fkm & ckm)
  • Suggest solutions for process improvements
  • Identify process bottleneck and implement solutions in atimely manner
  • Train and evaluate others
  • Provide constructive feedback

Build and maintain good relationships with vendors

Member of the operations staff, responsible to routinelyreport on

department KPIs along with appropriate analysis andcountermeasures

where necessary
