Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our team in Redmond, WA. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Java and backend development, with the ability to troubleshoot and design integrated systems. This is an onsite position, and candidates must be local to the area.

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot backend systems and code, focusing on Java development and integration with frontend applications.

Review system flow diagrams and reference architecture to ensure alignment with design specifications.

Develop and maintain backend APIs, understanding API calls and JSON connections for data exchange.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate frontend systems with backend APIs.

Manage coding tasks and system integration design work, ensuring a test-driven development approach.

Analyze problem statements and propose effective solutions in systems integration and code design.

Qualifications:

10+ years of hands-on experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on backend Java development.

5 years of experience specifically in Java and API development.

Solid understanding of system integration, coding practices, and software architecture.

Experience with API calls, JSON connections, and troubleshooting code.

Proven ability to manage coding and design work for backend APIs.

Strong problem-solving skills and a test-driven mindset
