About the Role

As a Staff Data Science Tech Lead (Training), you will be the guiding force in building and leading a robust data science training initiative. This role is more than just coding or modeling—it’s about mentoring, inspiring, and fostering a culture of continuous learning within our team.

You’ll work closely with our data science experts, engineers, and business leaders to design and deliver world-class training programs while contributing to high-impact projects.

What You’ll Do

1. Lead Training Programs:

   • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive training modules tailored for beginner to advanced data scientists.
   • Incorporate real-world use cases to create hands-on learning experiences.

2. Mentorship & Development:

   • Act as a coach and mentor to junior and mid-level data scientists.
   • Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented environment to elevate the team's technical expertise.

3. Innovate with Data:

   • Work on impactful projects, using advanced ML/AI techniques to drive business outcomes.
   • Stay on the cutting edge of emerging technologies and methodologies to integrate into training curricula.

4. Cross-Functional Leadership:

   • Collaborate with engineering, product, and leadership teams to align training goals with strategic objectives.
   • Act as a thought leader, advocating for data science best practices across the organization.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience:

  • 8+ years in data science or machine learning roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Proven track record of delivering scalable data solutions and mentoring teams.

• Skills:

  • Expertise in Python, R, SQL, and popular ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
  • Strong understanding of data engineering pipelines, MLOps, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Exceptional communication skills to convey complex ideas effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
