Core Responsibilities â?¢Facilitate requirements gathering workshops and one-on-one interviews. â?¢Analyze business requirements and design solutions to meet those requirements. â?¢Validate and prioritize detailed business requirements based on stakeholder input. â?¢Manage changing requirements (change control) and communicate impact to the project team. â?¢Develop preliminary work estimates and project plans. â?¢Demonstrate expertise with finance concepts, practices, and procedures. â?¢Stay up to date with financial industry and technology trends. Required Skills / Knowledge / Experience â?¢Bachelors degree or higher â?¢2-5 years prior experience working with project teams as a Business or Functional Analyst â?¢Experience in two or more of the following: -Algorithmic Trading & Backtesting (alpha models, risk models, transaction costs, FIX engine) -Machine Learning (recommender systems, neural networks, learning-to-rank,etc.) -Mathematics (descriptive statistics, predictive analytics, similarity measures) -Software Development (web dev, mobile dev, iPad / iPhone, .NET development) -Database (SQL Server Management Studio, SSRS, TSQL) -Quality Assurance (able to perform test scripts/plans and summarize results) â?¢Familiarity with financial statistics, common investment styles, and market cycles â?¢Experience with Tableau or other data visualization software is a plus â?¢Must be able to write SQL queries to research, prototype, and test market ideas â?¢Familiarity with algorithm development in C, Python, R, or Matlab is a plus. â?¢Must have excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills â?¢Highest levels of integrity and professional maturity â?¢Highly organized, analytical problem solver â?¢Enthusiastic, optimistic, and outgoing â?¢Collaborative teammate â?¢Exceptional clarity and precision in written and oral communication
