Job Description:

Responsibillities of the Role:
  • Oversee month end closing process. Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost and inventory, liability accounts by manufacturing area. Compile, analyze, and organize financial information.
  • Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
  • Complete budget, and financial analysis process. Identify trends and developments presenting findings to leadership team.
  • Develop, maintain and distribute ad-hoc reports as needed.
  • Create and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Participate in physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Reconcile freight to sales. Perform financial forecasting.
  • Review reconciliations of internal accounts.
  • Report on break even points by manufacturing area. Report on margins by product and division.
  • Report on periodic variances and their causes, focusing in particular on spending variances
  • Analyze capital budgeting requests
  • Support and assist internal department reporting requirements such as audit schedules, tax schedules and others Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited university.
  • Five years experience in a manufacturing accounting environment.
  • Familiarity with US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, and basic SEC reporting guidelines.
  • Knowledgeable in all operational areas of accounting (cost, general, payables and billing).
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are required.
  • Ability to meet tight monthly closing and corporate reporting deadlines.
  • Previous experience with the budgeting process required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: CPA or MBA preferred but not required.
  • Manufacturing experience desired. Experience with SAP software a plus.
  • Experience in a variety of financial analyses. Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to solves problems and presents solutions as well as a sense of urgency with deadlines.
  • Team oriented with both Divisional and Corporate staff.
  • Project oriented and capable of take on and manage special projects.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
