Job Description:
Responsibillities of the Role:
Basic Qualifications:
- Oversee month end closing process. Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost and inventory, liability accounts by manufacturing area. Compile, analyze, and organize financial information.
- Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
- Complete budget, and financial analysis process. Identify trends and developments presenting findings to leadership team.
- Develop, maintain and distribute ad-hoc reports as needed.
- Create and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Participate in physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Reconcile freight to sales. Perform financial forecasting.
- Review reconciliations of internal accounts.
- Report on break even points by manufacturing area. Report on margins by product and division.
- Report on periodic variances and their causes, focusing in particular on spending variances
- Analyze capital budgeting requests
- Support and assist internal department reporting requirements such as audit schedules, tax schedules and others Perform other duties as requested.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited university.
- Five years experience in a manufacturing accounting environment.
- Familiarity with US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, and basic SEC reporting guidelines.
- Knowledgeable in all operational areas of accounting (cost, general, payables and billing).
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are required.
- Ability to meet tight monthly closing and corporate reporting deadlines.
- Previous experience with the budgeting process required.
- Preferred Qualifications: CPA or MBA preferred but not required.
- Manufacturing experience desired. Experience with SAP software a plus.
- Experience in a variety of financial analyses. Organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to solves problems and presents solutions as well as a sense of urgency with deadlines.
- Team oriented with both Divisional and Corporate staff.
- Project oriented and capable of take on and manage special projects.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
