Location: Liberty Corner, NJ or Shelton, CT

Description:-
  • Manage larger projects ensuring project deliverables are brought in on time, within budget and quality targetsProvide input to scoping and planning and create overall project plan, including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)Evaluate and ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized.
  • Ensure proper change and release management for successful production implementationsResponsible for developing, coaching, advising and managing the project team
  • Responsible for securing resources for project work
  • Provide input into and manage the project budget
  • Manage project related risksLead geographically and culturally diverse cross-functional teams
  • Assist with development of Gate documentsPrepare management reports for stakeholders (Sponsor, CRMs, Practice Lead, etc.)Contribute to the development/improvement of Project Management Office (PMO) processes.
  • Contribute to the change vision and strategy by modeling the required behaviors
Experience/Certification:
  • PMP Certification /Prince 2 is a mustMin total years of exp: 10-14 years with 5-7 yrs Project Management experience with exposure to all SDLC methodologies
  • Experience in Insurance projects in last 5 years is a mustKnowledge & Skills:Strong understanding of business unit direction, functions, products and servicesAbility to deliver large-scale application development, systems integration, infrastructure projectsPresents ideas clearly, manage the integration of new technologies, and influence individuals across business boundaries to achieve objective
  • Sound knowledge of project management tools, techniques, and systems development methodologiesDemonstrated experience in Waterfall methodology (mandatory) and/or Agile methodologies (preferred)Build and maintain cross-departmental relationships to attain collaborative solutionsIdentify and manage resources and costs to the planEnsure that the necessary business, technical and subject matter skills are included within the project team and utilized appropriatelyWorking knowledge of systems development and technical environmentsProven coaching, motivation and staff development skillsAwareness and understanding of cultural diversityAbility to maintain a balance of confidence and approachability
