Job Description:

Responsibilities:
  • you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and upgrades to collections of enterprise-level SharePoint 2010/2013 Server intranets and extra nets, ensuring overall reliability and availability.
  • We are a global company, which means you will be called upon to work outside normal business hours on occasion to ensure reliable system operation.
  • You will manage the configuration control and technical infrastructure, including server and tool configuration supporting but not directly part of SharePoint 2010/2013 (e.g. IIS, SQL Server, backup software, other utilities, etc.).
  • You will provide courteous, professional, tactical assistance and guidance with personnel across a worldwide, 1500-person organization, many of whom are not deeply familiar with SharePoint or its capabilities.
  • Focus on customer service and timely response to issues and requests from company personnel is essential.
Other responsibilities will include:
  • Server farm administration (central administration, AD, site collections, web servers, service applications, web role servers, and application role servers).
  • SharePoint operational architecture (logical organization, modeling, taxonomy site collections).
  • Manage SharePoint logical security, including SharePoint groups, group permissions and organizing data to facilitate secure groupings.
  • Performance monitoring and tuning as required.
  • SharePoint site and site collection creation, including basic site design and customization within established company policies.
  • Software configuration and deployment of web parts, features and solutions (standard, developed in-house or from third parties).
  • Address SharePoint questions and requests from a 1500-person organization across worldwide time zones.
  • Take on modest configuration and mini-application development requests using standard SharePoint features, within company guidelines.
  • Assist with bigger company initiatives (SharePoint Development) by working with developers and contractors as needed.
  • Write and maintain Power Shell scripts for SharePoint automation.
  • Document SharePoint architecture and create documentation for installation and disaster recovery.
Requirements:
Qualifications:

  • At least two years experience as SharePoint Administrator for a medium or large farm configuration (SharePoint 2010/2013).
  • Working familiarity using standard and enterprise SharePoint features for general business environments, including personal sites, Info Path forms, Excel services, lists, document libraries, enterprise search, etc.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with Content Types, their configuration, limitations and use.
  • Experience designing and deploying modest SharePoint applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to address a large number of customer service requests quickly and effectively.
  • MCSE: SharePoint is a plus.
  • Power Shell Scripting is a plus.
  • Working in a global organization spanning multiple time zones is a plus.
  • Strong expertise in the following skills: SharePoint Migrations, specifically 2010 to 2013
  • Configuring and Managing Service Applications, specifically: User Profile Services and My Sites, SQL Reporting Services, Power Pivot and Power View, Search Service, Outbound and Inbound Mail
  • Performance tuning on front ends and database servers
  • Installing SharePoint patches and hot fixes as needed
  • Info Path 2010/2013 form design for lists and libraries
  • SharePoint Designer Workflows
  • Active Directory (including LDAP queries)
  • Network Load Balancing (NLB), F5 or other hardware solutions
  • Security (Kerberos, NTLM, etc)
