Job Description:

Conducts financial analysis:

  • variance analysis, risk analysis, profit/loss analysis, cash flow impact, etc.
  • Interfaces with all facets of the business and performs extensive investigations as required.
  • Executes special or continuous research and data analysis tasks.
  • Analyzes problems, determines approach, compiles and analyzes data, and prepares reports/recommendations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. Backup for FP&A Manager and ad hoc requests as required.
Cost monitoring and control:

  • weekly, monthly, YTD,and ITD labor and material tracking; Researches and resolves anomalies in cost data; Provides updates and Variance Analysis.
  • Responsible for program control and administration involving monitoring and recording of labor and material charges using Unanet and the general ledger.
Quarterly EAC support:

  • Updates worksheets with actual data through the cut-off date; Coordinates input from functional departments; Consolidates EAC and provides support in Variance Analysis.
  • Program Review preparation Assists in preparation of the financial data and presentation package; Supports the program and engineering departments; Provides programmatic data as needed; Provides back-up support to Finance resources.Business partner to Program Manager/Engineering: Develops financial controls, procedures, systems, to evaluate contract/program status and ensure compliance with government and customer requirements.
  • Monitors cost performance against plans to ensure contractual cost obligations are met.
  • Performs complex financial/administrative reporting for major contracts and/or programs.Job Specifications Education
Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Finance or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations Specific Skills and/or Experience Requirements: 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment is ideal Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work with many personalities on a dynamic team, as well as work independently Proficient with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Detailed knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and financial analysis Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex business problems Detail-oriented; strong analytical and independent problem solving skills to evaluate financial results Self-driven desire to learn more about the business and drive process improvements Other responsibilities as assigned
