DevOps Engineer Loc: Chantilly, VA
Job Description:
- Aerospace Corp has an opportunity available for a Dev Ops engineer who would be responsible for managing and developing prototypes for the Ground Prototyping and Technology Lab The responsibilities of this position are split 70% towards prototyping and 30% toward managing the lab.
- Provide support for administration of application servers and web servers, basic system engineering support for servers and workstations Provide support for Linux & Windows environments Provide support for virtualization environments (VMware, OVIRT)Provide support for deployments to Cloud environments (AWS preferred)Provide support for deploying new technologies into dev/test environments Contribute to Team-based demonstrations of in-house developed prototypes/systems.
- Contribute to technical reports and other presentations to disseminate findings, guidance, and technical information to as wide an audience as possible.

- degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other engineering/analytical degree.
- 2 years of experience (An advanced degree can be used in lieu of experience)Proficient in one or more of the following: C/C++, C#, Java, Python. Experience working in a dynamic lab environment A strong technical background and clearly demonstrated experience with current technologies Excellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S.
- citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.Must be highly motivated. Must be able to work well collaboratively or independently, as each task requires. Must be able to adapt to a customer\'s evolving needs.
- Preferred Qualifications Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other engineering/analytical degree.
- Current TS/SCI clearance Experience with tools such as Docker/Rubbernecks, Git, Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, AWS Cloud Formation & Code Commit Experience with Common Big Data, Search Platforms, and Concepts (Hadoop, Accumulo, Hive, etc.)
- Experience with working in and maintaining PaaS environments, such as Kubernetes, Mesophere,Experience with LXC and containerization, including Docker Experience with Agile methods
