• Experienced senior mobile developer, with an emphasis on Android applications, needed to join team working on design, documentation, development, enhancement, and maintenance on a diverse set of projects.

• The Senior Mobile Developer will be a key member of the Enterprise Web and Mobile group designing, developing and supporting highly visible / highly valued mobile and tablet solutions for University, a leader in higher education, research, and medicine.
  

Job Duties

• Design, document, develop, deploy and support mobile / tablet based applications and related interfaces / infrastructure
  
• Develop and follow mobile engineering standards, practices, and reusable components
  
• Create and deliver technical presentations
  
• Assist and work closely with the mobile development team lead in the following areas as required:
  
• Envisioning and rationalization of the development and implementation of mobile platform services, strategy and roadmap
  
• Creation and execution of system test plans and user acceptance testing
  
• Awareness of mobile platform capabilities
  
• Partner with outside mobile app development firms on an as needed basis
  

Requirement skills

• Currently have apps deployed in the Android Google Play store, e.g. hands-on experience with Google Play deployment and support processes
  
• Experience with developing HTML5, Hybrid apps, and using cross platform mobile development tools
  
• Mobile and tablet design and development experience covering the Android ecosystem
  
• Experience designing and developing apps that access and or utilize cloud based frameworks (e.g. Google App Engine, Amazon AWS Services/SDKs, etc.)
  
• Practical knowledge of modern application technologies, including XML, Web Services, REST, JSON, HTML5, jQuery, JavaScript, and CSS
  
• Experience coding apps that support multiple languages and comply with accessibility standards
  
• Able to strongly contribute to technical mobile design and feasibility planning
  
• Passion for researching new or emerging trends and technologies in the mobile platform space
  
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
