Role:Tech Project Manager

Location: San Francisco Bay Area

Responsibilities:

  • Guide the design and engineering teams through the full product development lifecycle
  • Manage the overall timelines and budgets for large-scale projects
  • Partner with internal business teams to define and document complex business processes
  • Coordinate businesses analysis and design ensure that business requirements are accurately translated into product design
  • Facilitate translation of business requirements into feature requirements ready for consumption by the product and engineering teams
  • Ensure engineering team meets product specifications and designs
  • Coordinate contractors and agencies within the context of larger projects
  • Facilitate discussion around critical decisions about feature prioritization, requirements, design, system and data architectures, and engineering tradeoffs
  • Drive consensus among a large group of stakeholders
  • Clearly communicate and manage expectations for team members and stakeholders
  • Ensure project quality with a strict focus on scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget and timing
  • Track and report on project milestones and provide status reports to project leadership
  • Document problems and prioritize solutions throughout project lifecycle
  • Determine how results will be measured and complete post-project evaluations to determine how results were achieved
  • Work with internal business teams to facilitate training, external communications, and product launch
  • Support and upgrade implemented systems

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years in project management covering the complete lifecycle
  • Experience working on real-world problems and demonstrated passion for making a social impact
  • Excellent oral, written, and visual communication skills
  • Commitment to organization, follow-through, and reporting
  • Advanced understanding of MS Project, Pivotal Tracker, Excel, and other project management tools
  • Ability to work collaboratively and handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Demonstrated ability to manage agile workflows
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders on complex projects
  • Strong technical background with a good understanding of engineering principles and practices
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the high-level differences between common programming frameworks and languages
  • Experience managing remote design and development teams
  • Experience planning multi-system integrations with Salesforce
  • Ability to build subject matter expertise in a short period
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • BA or BS in IT or related technical field preferred
