Job Description:
- Maintaining accurate and timely accounting records in Quickbooks
- Invoicing customers on a timely basis.
- Managing the full accounts receivable function for our Legacy brands division.
- Following up on customer outstanding invoices and ensuring deductions taken are warranted.
- Managing the full accounts payable process for our Legacy brands division. Entering invoices for payment to vendors and ensuring that vendors are paid in accordance with the terms of their supply agreement.
- Prepare monthly inventory reconciliations for the Legacy brands division to ensure all sales and inventory receipts are captured
- Prepare month end, quarterly, and year end journal entries, reconciliations and management reporting.
- Work with the Corporate Controller to ensure timely closing of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end with accurate financial information.
- Prepare management reports as part of the financial close process that compares actual to budgeted results.
- Assist with the year-end audit procedures.
- Provide analysis for and assist in preparing financial presentations for senior leadership meetings
- Assist in the preparation of the annual consolidated budgets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor??s degree in Finance and/or Accounting
- Pursuing an accounting designation CPA (CA/CMA/CGA) or MBA
- Would like 1-3 years of permanent, professional experience
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be familiar and have experience with how to use Quickbooks.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Energetic with a Can-Do attitude, able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to coordinate a number of projects, take ownership and work independently to bring an assigned project to completion
- Ability to prioritize accordingly, learn quickly and adapt to new situations.
- Able to work in offices in both Toronto and Mississauga
