Primary Duties/Essential Functions:

• Provides senior-level technical knowledge and project oversight for all IT infrastructure and security projects (e.g. networks, servers, telecommunication systems, security, etc.).
• Works with senior-level IT leadership to identify, budget, plan, implement, optimize and support IT infrastructure and security needs, upgrades and renewals to ensure network, telecommunications and servers meets goals and daily operational needs.
• Ensures that IT infrastructure aligns with internal security policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements (e.g. HIPAA).
• Works with the senior-level IT leadership to plan, design, implement and document network infrastructure and disaster recovery plans.
  
• Monitors and maintains network performance and infrastructure.
• Uses available technology to monitor and diagnose network problems (e.g. network sniffers, decoding packets, etc). Monitors, maintains and documents security of network.
• Stays current with advanced knowledge of existing hardware and software to maximize performance and functionality.
• Assists with maintenance and upkeep of current hardware and software inventory, licensing and warranty.
  
• Responsible for researching technology solutions, vendors, products and costs.
• Provides return on investment (ROI) documentation and justification for hardware and software improvements and assists with the planning of future organizational technology needs.
• Works with Senior-level IT leadership on preparation and management of IT capital and operating budgets.
  
• Assists senior-level IT leadership in developing and managing departmental and capital budgets.
  
• Manages strategic relationships with key service providers
