Role: Payroll Specialist

Location:Omaha, NE

  • The Payroll Specialist will work with our Operations and Staffing Managers to provide administrative support for Employee Payroll, Billing, and Weekly Pay Cycles.
  • This position will perform complex clerical duties as it relates to Payroll, Benefits, Salary and Hourly Wage Administration, as well as Billing/Invoicing.
  • Involves frequest contract with Recruiters and Account Managers, as well as Traveling Medical Professionals.
  • Compile and coordinate incoming timecards and payroll details for external employees.
  • Work closely with recruiters to maintain the information for billing and paying is correct in all scenarios.
  • Performs customer service function by answering employee questions and requests.
  • Identifies errors or missing documentation in regards to billing and salary/wage allocation.
  • Entering data into QuickBooks and Excel spreadsheets to maintain weekly totals.
  • Coordinate with our PEO to ensure all employees are paid in each with in accordance with State Labor Laws.
  • Participate in administrative function, including but not limited to filing, changes in pay, minimum wages per state, and software programs for payroll function.
  • Help to maintain spreadsheets in regards to travel staff\'s housing, utilities, bills, payroll and other clerical details.

Preferred Experience:

  • Knowledge of payroll functions, spreadsheets and standard pay practices.
  • Ability to make sound, independent judgments with established policies and procedures; organizing own work, and setting priorities.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving occasional, last-minute changes in generally standardized situations.
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines.
  • Exceptional detail orientation and time management skills.
  • Excellent communications skills, including over the telephone and in person, both written and verbal is essential.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma (College Coursework or Degree Preferred)
  • One to two years administrative support experience, preferably in payroll, human resources or the staffing area.
  • Prior customer service and payroll experience preferred.
