Position:Quality Assurance Supervisor
Loc :Chicago,IL
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Monitors/Tracks all production quality checks and product scoring
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal/external customers
- Work in a team environment
- Conducts production/sanitation/quality audits
- Investigates quality issues and customer complaints
- Supports BRC program by managing the internal audit program
- Support in maintaining all Federal, State and Local Food Safety Compliance
- Supports audits Customer, 3rd party, and regulatory
- Supervises the Quality Assurance Technicians (7) on their day to day activities
- Develop, mentor, and train the QA Techs in regards to Food Safety, Quality, and Critical thinking.
Position Requirements
Percentage of Travel:5 -10%
Education:Bachelors Degree in a Science (Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science) or related field
Experience:3-5 Supervisory Experience, Prefer 3 to 5 years quality control experience in a food/beverage/ingredient manufacturing environment. Bakery experience a plus.
- Prefer experience in GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) (BRC, SQF, etc.)
- FSMA, FSPCA, and HARPC experience preferred.
- Trained in HACCP management preferred
- Good Communication skills, both verbally and written
- Statistical Analysis experience utilizing SPC Software
