Summary:

• The UI Front End Senior Developer will work with a team of Software Engineers across the globe to develop high quality applications servicing the financial trading industry.
• This position sits between a UI Designer and a back end/middle tier development team with the opportunity to expand your skill set into these areas.
  
• First and foremost we look for a solid software engineer, with a strong desire to grow their knowledge and capabilities while focused on the tasks at hand.
  
• The primary technologies will be JavaScript, HTML5, CSS including frameworks and libraries such as Backbone.js, AngularJS, JQuery and Bootstrap.
• An understanding of UX design principles and how to apply them will be a distinct advantage
  
• The position is for a new expanding team in Ireland partnering with a team in the U.S.
  

Primary Responsibilities:

• Enhance and maintain the UI of a number of applications using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, JQuery, Backbone.js AngularJS, Bootstrap
  
• Collaborate with other team members on shared items of work to ensure end to end delivery of features
  
• Provide estimation of work and ensure team is kept informed of progress
  
• Share your knowledge across the team
  
• Ensure you develop adhering to best software engineering and UX practice
  
• Mentor other team members
  
• Ensure best practice is followed and contribute to improving how we get things done
  

Education and Experience

• Bachelor level degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other technical field.
  
• 6+ years of experience in software development, primarily in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JQuery, Backbone.js, AngularJS, Bootstrap
  
• Experience of agile development.
  
• Experience working with dispersed teams
  
• Experience with software engineering tools such as source control, continuous integration & build tools
  

Skills & Knowledge

• Strong Javascript developer
  
• Strong experience in designing, developing and maintaining HTML5 based application including technologies like Backbone.js, AngularJS, Bootstrap, JQuery, Websockets.
  
• Excellent Analytical and problem solving skills
