- Supports, as needed, US Army Space and Missile Defense Command JointFriendly Force Tracking (JFFT) Testbed government personnel to executeUSASMDC/ARSTRAT friendly force tracking (FFT) mission assigned to it byUSSTRATCOM.
- This includes systems engineering, network management,database administration, system configuration management, clouddevelopment, and information assurance.
- The JFFT Testbed ensures informationsystems needed for development, testing, and integration are readilyavailable.
- Responsible for working with the team of technical engineers in thearchitecture, systems design, testing and implementation of a technicalinfrastructure that emphasizes data center virtualization, CloudComputing, SAN storage, network, systems and data flow monitoring.
- Working with JFFT project integrators, SMDC G-6, and other networkowners to establish and maintain required network connections
- Establishing the networking environment by designing system configuration,directing system installation, defining, documenting and enforcing systemstandards;
- The design and implementation of new solutions and improving resilience ofthe current environment;
- Maximizing network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshootingnetwork problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating withnetwork architects on network optimization;
- Undertaking data network fault investigations in local and wide areaenvironments, using information from multiple sources
- Securing network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, anddefining and monitoring access
- The support and administration of firewall environments in line with ITsecurity policy
- Reporting network operational status by gathering and prioritizinginformation and managing projects
- Upgrading data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases;
- The configuration of routing and switching equipment;* configuration of firewalls;
- Top Secret security clearance and be able to obtainan SCIBachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, ComputerEngineering, Network Engineering or technical/related discipline and 3+years of experience in designing and delivering computer infrastructureand/or data center systems.
- CCNA, CCNP/CCSP or equivalent knowledge is desired. IAT certified Level II(Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA)
- DOD Top Secret Security Clearance, must be able to obtain SCIDemonstrated experience with one or more of the following:
- Cisco Secure Access Control Server (ACS) or Cisco Identity ServicesEngine (ISE)
but is not limited toLinux, Windows, Android, IOS systems and server based systems
Networking:
- Cisco, Juniper, Hypervisor firewall, Intrusion Detection
- Network Performance Criteria and measurement methods
- Network escalation procedures through Tier 3
- Working knowledge of network security and cross domain separation ofconcerns.
