SQL DBA Location: Miami, FL

Essential Functions:

• Acting in a dual role of DBA (front and backend), and Application Developer
• Responsible for the integrity, organization, accuracy, performance, management, and general safeguarding of databases
• Also responsible for developing user interfaces to allow access to and retrieval of critical data needed for reporting and general management of the data
• As the guardian of data, controls access, ensures reliable backup and recovery, and governs the activities of other developers and programs that require access to the data to ensure its safety and integrity
• Ensure maximum performance of the database systems
• Ensure data security and recoverability
• Design and architecture of database systems
• Continuously monitor databases to ensure optimal up-time and performance
• Ensure reliable and accurate backup and recovery procedures are in place and tested
• Ensure architecture and design align with corporate objectives
• Troubleshoot problems with database access or performance
• Create procedures and processes as needed or requested to automate tasks
• Continuously strive to improve DB performance and reliability
• Work with developers to ensure compliance with general corporate rules and industry standard practices
• Ensure compliance with all specialized regulatory agency rules and regulations
• Ensure sufficient security and audit schemes to prevent loss of data or unauthorized access
• Work with end users and IT management to create reports and other data extract utilities
• Develop user interfaces and programs as required to allow access to data
• Ensure security systems are in place and effective to prevent system abuse, unauthorized access or use, and protection of company assets and patient information

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor\'s degree in a related area + minimum 5 years\' experience in a related field; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which would provide the desired skills, knowledge, and ability required to perform the job
• Minimum 5 years\' experience with Database Administration
• Minimum 2 years\' experience with Application Development
• Minimum 3 years\' experience with Microsoft SQL 2014
• Experience in SQL Clustered environment
• Experience in ETL (extract/transform/load) (FTP, XLS, TXT, CSV Etc.)
• Experience in DTS and SSIS
• Experience in SSRS and SSAS
• Experience Creating SQL JOBS/Windows Task
• Experience in creation/maintenance of SQL OBJECTS (table, triggers, view, function, stored procedure)
• Experience in Database Implementation/Design
• Experience in SQL DB Replication
• Experience in Database mirroring
• Knowledge of Data warehouse, Operational Data Store (ODS), Data Modeling a plus
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence / Analytics a plus
• Knowledge of MySQL
• Knowledge of Pervasive SQL
• Knowledge of MS Access
• Knowledge of Programming in (vb.net, C#) Visual Studio (console apps, webapp, forms) is a plus
• Knowledge of Interactive Intelligence is a plus
• MCP or MCSE
• Knowledge of Noble Direct DME Insurance Database structure a plus
• Knowledge of 5010 X12 (835/270/271) Claims/Verification) a plus
• Knowledge and experience working in a Healthcare environment and dealing with Protected Healthcare Information (PHI) is a plus
• DVA/developer is a plus
