• Award-winning employment site headquartered in Downtown Frederick, MD, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our team.
• You will provide direct devops engineering support for the build and release process for internally developed software applications.
• You will also provide support for software applications, active configuration of applications, websites, services, integration, maintenance, and upgrading of third-party software as well as operational networks, computer systems, and other IT infrastructure.
• Additionally, you will be responsible for installing software/upgrades, monitoring systems, and responding to operational issues on a rotating schedule to ensure high service levels 24x7x365.
  

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Writing SQL scripts to create, optimize, troubleshoot, and maintain SQL databases.
  
• Performing overall system administration tasks for Windows Servers, Linux systems, Email (Exchange), DNS, and Active Directory.
  
• Managing Linux open source applications.
  
• Developing PowerShell, batch scripts, and Linux shell scripts for automation, monitoring, and operations maintenance tasks.
  
• Troubleshooting application, middleware, and database performance bottlenecks.
  
• To be successful in this role, you should have:
  
• 4-year degree in computer science or closely related field.
  
• 3+ years?? experience developing, debugging, maintaining, or managing software applications and related systems.
