Position Purpose Statement/Objective

  • The Front-End & UX Web Developer contributes to the overall success of the organization by implementing robust and user-friendly SaaS platforms that support Stevens â??Measurements to Mindâ? vision of cloud-based environmental data acquisition and analysis.
  • Maintain documentation of new systems using modern practices of highly structured and well-documented code with version control
  • Analyze & update testing procedures consistently
  • Submit timely project status updates
  • Continued development on two key SaaS platforms

Qualifications

Education

Minimum: Six months in immersive front-end web development coding academy or bootcamp

Preferred: B.S. in Computer Science, or Info Sciences Technology, equivalent

Skills

Required: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, Ajax

Preferred: Angular 4, Bootstrap 4, front-end built tools (webpack, gulp, angular-cli), Git, jQuery

Bonus if also: Linux, Nginx, MySQL, PHP, Python, SSH, Redis, graphic design

Adept at user interface design

Experience

  • At least one major project using cloud infrastructure (preferred Amazon AWS)
  • At least one major project using using version control (Git preferred)
  • Working with RESTful APIs
  • Some experience with a JavaScript front-end library such as Angular, React, Vue.js, Ember, etc
  • Building reusable libraries and features
