Position

• As a leading edge IT consulting firm,is growing and has an exciting permanent opportunity for a Senior Database Administrator to join our team in New Westminster.
• The role requires providing exceptional database infrastructure services working alongside two other DBAs (one senior and one junior) providing DBA services for both external clients and internal clients.
  

Required Skills

• Applicants will be required to have minimum of 5 years production or developer DBA experience and are expected to have expert level knowledge in the following areas:
  
• Experience supporting Oracle 10g, 11g and 12c and MS SQL Server 2008/2012/2014;
  
• Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices;
  
• Demonstrated expertise with Oracle and MS SQL on different platforms (Solaris, Linux and Windows);
  
• Extensive experience of Database installation, configuration and patching;
  
• Demonstrated experience with Oracle RMAN, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle PL/SQL, SQL Server T-SQL;
  
• Extensive experience with High Availability and Disaster Recovery concepts;
  
• Demonstrated in-depth skills with performance tuning complex application and database environments in Oracle and SQL Server;
  
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and analyzing data within applications and databases;
  
• Demonstrated expertise in database logical and physical design and implementation;
  
• Expertise with Unix and Windows shell scripting
