• The Hanford Laboratory Quality Assurance Program Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the quality assurance program at (222-S).
• (222-S) is a DOE laboratory specializing in receipt and analysis of highly radioactive samples and reporting results to customers across the Hanford site.
  
• The Quality Assurance Program Manager will develop, implement and manage the necessary Quality Systems, and will assure that all analysis being performed is sufficient to meet regulatory requirements.
• Quality Assurance Program Manager will be responsible for providing expertise and guidance in the interpretation of government regulations, regulatory agency guidelines and site compliance policies.
• Champion an aggressive Quality Assurance Program at to insure accuracy, consistency and completeness of facility operations and regulatory guidelines based on the applicable requirements of 10 CFR 830, Subpart A, DOE O414.

• 1D Quality Assurance, and other contractual quality requirements (e.g. NQA-1, EM-QAP)
  

Responsibilities

• Foster an atmosphere of continuous striving for excellence and achievement of quality standards. Drive Continuous Improvement to maintain the highest quality standards.
  
• Maintain laboratory Quality Assurance Program Document (QAPD)
• Coordinate Performance Evaluation (PE) programs for as they pertain to environmental and industrial hygiene accreditations.
• Conduct assessments/surveillances, identify deficiencies, and participate in root cause evaluation and corrective actions as assigned. Organize and be responsible for accuracy of Quality Assurance evaluations, reviews, and analyses.
  
• Gather, analyze, and monitor progress and trends to ultimately reduce risk and improve quality of data deliverables to customers
  
• Coordinates assignments and manages quality assurance department staff
  
• Represent Quality Assurance at various forums that include analytical services, project management, customer support, and executive.
