Job Description:
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and fully execute key initiatives that supports Richmond, VA site Supply Chain strategy
- Must accurately diagnose organizational issues, develop effective solutions and implement action plans
- Guide leaders and employees regarding company policies, values, HR programs (benefits, pay and salary) administration and interpretation to ensure policies and procedures are handled consistently and in a timely manner
- Must ensure activities are in compliance with all state and federal employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO and FLSA)
- Assists leadership in performance management and developing effective pipeline and succession plans
- Design and execute staffing strategies for exempt/non-exempt hiring needs of assigned client groups. Partner with local teams to ensure ongoing outreach and sourcing.
- Manage employee relations within client groups through collaboration and coaching with managers and dealing directly with employees and providing advice and counsel
- Develop and execute site level and national strategies to improve Organizational Health and culture
- Work collaboratively with Headquarters and local HR on annual training programs for site. Implement and deliver programs for leadership team, supervisors and employees within client groups based on needs.
- Partner with Headquarters HR and Payroll staff to manage processes and resolve employee issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain safety and security of site for employees and partner with Safety Manager to ensure alliance.
Skills & Capabilities:
- Understanding of, and some experience with, most or all of the core aspects of Human Resource Management (staffing, employee relations, performance management, development, training)
- Ability to play an active role in the change process and translate concepts into actionable items
- Ability to understand the business operations
- Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills, and must be comfortable presenting to all levels of the organization
- Courage to deliver difficult feedback with professionalism and credibility
- Ability to recommend solutions based on data analytics
- Serves as internal consultant, trusted advisor, coach and project manager
- A potent balance of professionalism and a great sense of humor
- Strong skills in PowerPoint/Excel/Word
- Knowledge of CPG/manufacturing industry is helpful, but not required
- Must be self-directed and able to multi-task successfully
- Proven ability to positively interact and collaborate in a team environment
Qualifications & Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of prior Human Resources experience
- Bachelor Degree required; major in Industrial/Labor Relations, HR Management, psychology, or other related field preferred
- Master Degree in Business Administration, Labor Relations, or HR Management preferred
