Title: Oracle Utilities DBA
Location: Laurel, MD
Job description:
- Analyze, design, develop, implement and support assigned enterprise complex projects.
- Work in conjunction with clients to resolve problem related to system design and implementations. Review and recommend approval of functional and technical design documents, implementation of systems, program enhancements and application updates.
- Provide quality assurance, quality control and risk management; and schedule activities.
- Develop complex programs and reports in database query language.
Responsibilities:
- Oracle DBA o Create and maintain databases in Development and QA environment as required by product release schedule and service level agreements o Use existing utilities to migrate product data from one environment to another
- Enhance existing utilities and develop new as required o Diagnose, research and resolve database-related errors/issues encountered by Product Development and Support o Apply patches and single fixes as required
- Unix System Administrator o Should be able to assist technical architect o Unix and/or Windows administration o Software installation and configuration.
- Working knowledge of web servers o Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving and analytical skills
- Windows (DOS), Unix shell, ANT scripting
- Web application server (e.g. Oracle Application Server, WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat) administration and configuration.
- Database administration and writing of SQL code.
- Cobol and java compilation and build experience.
- Tuxedo Installshield Perforce administration o Technical troubleshooting in a complex multi-tier architecture Qualifications:
- Ability to install configuration, deployment upgrading, patching, system monitoring, performance analysis and tuning of Oracle CC&B v2.4+
- Strong knowledge of JVM and Oracle Weblogic (including Exalogic)
- Strong knowledge Oracle CC&B architecture and configuration
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues and problems for CC&B application with appropriate monitoring.
- Solid Oracle 12c database knowledge including backup/recovery, exports, maintenance, monitoring and support team activities.
- Strong Java/UNIX scripting and PL/SQL programming skills.
- Ability to coordinate with appropriate teams to fully support the CC&B implementation
- Bachelors in information technology or computer science;
- 10+ years of relevant Oracle Utilities and e-Business Suite implementation specialist
- Experience with report generators and user interface design.
- Experience with reporting tools such as Actuate and Crystal Report.
- Experience with SQL statements tuning.
- Knowledge of theories, principles and standard practices in intelligent transportation system as used in transit agencies, public entities in the area of maintenance, materials, purchasing and warehouse management.
- Knowledge of the methods, tools and techniques used to evaluate, select, develop, test, implement, integrate and troubleshoot systems software and hardware of all types Knowledge of the functions of Oracle Utilities and eBusiness
- Suite application modules and business processes including Work Management, Preventative Maintenance, Materials Management, Service Management, Asset Management, Purchasing, Contract Management, KPI and Workflow
