Position Summary

  • This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting business intelligence initiative.
  • The Business Intelligence program is a global initiative with the goal of defining and deploying a best in class business intelligence solution for ERP, sales, operations, and quality management reporting and analytics.
  • The role will support the business by engaging with key stakeholders from across to identify new reports and improve existing reports.
  • The BA will lead the effort to identify value-add opportunities and critical-to-quality characteristics, before developing requirements in sufficient detail to build out new reports.
  • Where required the BA will lead business process and proof-of-concept activities to support the requirement planning process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead or participate in activities to build new reports or improve/enhance existing reports.
  • These include the planning and facilitation of business process improvement workshops both in person and virtual.
  • Lead or significantly contribute in problem solving and root cause analysis activities.
  • Directly engage as required in these activities.
  • Implement recommendations and corrective actions identified during the process.
  • Develop and maintain BI/QlikView reporting principles, best practices, guidelines, standards, methods, and techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality policies and procedures, ethics and security requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, leveraging Operational Excellence techniques where possible.
  • Ability to work independently, escalate issues and seek guidance as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or relevant work experience; 3+ years with other BI tools.
  • 3+ years working experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a BI environment.
  • Prior experience with Qlik Sense is preferred.
  • Experience of Operational Excellence (Lean Six-sigma), preferably certified to a yellow, green or black belt standard.
  • Strong collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to clearly communicate with both business and technical audiences
  • Strong business acumen to quickly learn new business processes and understand how technology can enable achieving business objectives
