Role:- IT Analyst - DevOps

Location: Jacksonville, FL,

  • The IT Analyst DevOps role should be able to develop, debug, configure, document, and test modifications to existing and new systems within the scope of enterprise monitoring and application performance.
  • Under supervision, you will provide technical administrative support to the broader team, and perform individually assigned responsibilities and projects.
  • This role will require the ability to regularly demonstrate flexibility to support specific projects, and work closely with leadership to prioritize project needs and initiate changes.
  • You will gather and interpret relevant data and information from all throughout the technology stack, and then use productivity tools to compile data for reporting and dashboarding.

Primary Activities And Responsibilities

  • Code/script, debug, test, and support programs, applications, services, mobile apps, utilities, and other commercial or in-house developed tools as part of the DevOps process, with the desire to create automation where possible.
  • Assist with analysis of applications to ensure performance and availability meets or exceeds requirements and standards.
  • Focus on business processes and analysis, helping identify business impacts and works to resolve scope and boundary issues.
  • Demonstrates clear understanding and support of technology systems.
  • Follows and maintains procedures documentation.
  • Incident management, including documentation and management escalation.
  • Provides functional support to the team.
  • Provide production support responsibilities for one or more DevOps applications.
  • Performs other activities and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution required in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems/Technology or related major field of study.
  • Equivalent Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma/GED or Associates degree from an accredited institution required in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems/Technology or related major field of study.
  • 2 or more years of experience in Information Systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • In addition to meeting the above qualifications, the following are preferred:
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution required in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems/Technology or related major field of study.
  • 2 or more years of experience in Information Systems, Transportation/Intermodal Operations or Logistics
Knowledge And Skills
  • Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) concept, including Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to create integrations and simple utilities using scripting/automation/configuration management languages such as Python, Perl, Bash, Ansible, Powershell, Chef, and/or Puppet.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and alerting systems such as CA UIM, DellEMC SMARTs, VMware Hyperic, PagerDuty, etc.
  • Knowledge of application performance monitoring and requisite systems such as New Relic, AppDynamics, CA APM, VMware Operations Manager, etc.
  • Experience working in a hybrid cloud infrastructure, including public and private cloud.
  • Basic systems experience in Linux and Windows.
  • Basic knowledge of high-level applications programming languages such as .NET, Java, C#, or Procedure Language (PL)/Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • Understanding of change management processes and procedures.
  • Ability to contribute to quality requirements and technical design documentation.
  • Basic quality assurance testing skills.
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking.
  • Written and oral communication skills for working with business partners.
