Position: Administrator, Payroll

Classification:Exempt

SUMMARY:

  • The Payroll Administrator will oversee all aspects of payroll processing, including salary changes, new hire updates, and maintenance of the time & attendance system.
  • This position will also ensure that all payroll/timekeeping systems are in accordance with SOX/DOL guidelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Use ADP Workforce Now to administer the companys payroll
  • Process wage garnishments and withholding orders
  • Ensure accuracy of input of approved timesheets
  • Audit payroll reports
  • Answer questions regarding payroll policies for employees
  • Resolve payroll issues within established guidelines
  • Perform various journal entries, account reconciliations, and provides general ledger support
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (i.e., gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accruals, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.) for management
  • Provide additional technical and analytical support to financial reporting and operational teams as needed
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all areas
  • Regular and reliable attendance expected
  • Other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • 1-3 years of payroll administration or related experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • CPP certification preferred
