Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs field investigations & surveys prior to design
- Prepare design for HVAC and piping systems
- Preparation of cost estimates and analyzing material costs, quality and quantity
- Develop an understanding of the N.Y. State Mechanical Code
- Preparation of preliminary and final designs from field notes and data files
- Prepare project drawings consistent with company standards and in compliance with municipal and agency requirements
- Supervises the development of design concepts and reports
- Supervises and manages project designs and approvals and clients relationships
- Presents and assists at public presentations on technical/design issues
- Provides mentoring assistance
- Coordinates activities with other group manages
- Provides guidance and technical contributions regarding project design and details
- Works with marketing and business development staff to assist in the procurement of work
- Performs mechanical calculations including Heat Loss / Heat Gain calculations
