Role: Application Systems Analyst (SQL)

Location:Dallas, TX

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure availability and stability of Accounting and Finance applications.
  
• Support packaged applications and coordinate communication with vendors.
  
• Assess existing Accounting and Finance processes for efficiency and streamlining opportunities.
  
• Research, design, develop, and deploy processes for the migration of data between applications.
  
• Provide backup operational monitoring of the Accounting and Finance systems.
  
• Provide assistance to business users on Accounting and Finance functions and system issues
  
• Documentation and standardization of deliverables.
  

Education and Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or combination of work experience.
  
• Experience with SQL Server and Windows Servers.
  
• Experience with SQL Server related tools (SSRS), SQL creation, troubleshooting, and tuning.
  
• Must have experience supporting Financial and Accounting ERP systems.
  
• Windows server environment, scripting, operating at command line.
  
• Experience would include a minimum of 4 CONTIGUOUS years of the following skills...
  
• MS SQL experience creating, modifying and supporting stored procedures, functions, views and tables. SQL 2008 R2 or SQL 2012 experience preferred.
  
• SQL Server reporting services experience creating, modifying and publishing SQL Reports.
  
• STRONG VERBAL COMMUNICATION is a MUST.
• Interacting with business community, vendors and various IT groups is a core requirement of the role.

• Candidate MUST possess a strong initiative and requires minimal supervision.
  
• Candidate must be able to work in a team environment.
  
• Retail experience is a plus.
  
• Epicor Financial Application experience is a plus.
  
• DocLink Application experience is a plus.
  
• Spreadsheet Server Application experience is a plus.
  
• Knowledge in Change Management/Tracking is a plus.
