Key Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining SQL code - primarily Teradata
  
• Building and maintaining ETL workflows - primarily Informatica
  
• Building and maintaining complex SQL queries for data analysis and data extract
  
• Building and maintaining complex scripts and automation components
  
• Building and maintaining data extract processes
  
• Performing thorough unit testing on all code prior to releasing to QA.
  
• Contributes and shares knowledge/expertise with other developers and project team members
  
• Develops code to meet design specifications
  
• Contributes to the reusable code library
  
• Reviews and performs QA/QC on code developed by other team members
  
• Accurately estimates level of efforts required for development tasks
  
• Participates in design reviews
  
• Documents code
  
• Writes user and technical documentation
  
• May performs design tasks depending on the project
  

Key Skills And Experience

• Qualified individuals possess the attributes of being smart, curious, committed to vision, passionate, fun/pleasant, an achiever and having a sense of urgency
  
• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Computer Science or related IT field or relevant professional experience
  
• 5+ years experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle or other major RDBMS
  
• 2+ years experience with ETL tool(s) - Informatica, SSIS, DataStage
  
• Understanding of relational and dimensional database concepts
  
• Experience with various database platforms - Teradata, SQL Server, Netezza, Oracle
  
• Experience with file management concepts, processes, and tools - sFTP, PGP Encryption, Sterling
  
• Experience with scheduling/automation concepts, processes, and tools - Tidal, CA, SQL Server Agent, etc.
  
• Understanding of common IT offerings - e.g. Operating systems, storage, backups
  
• Understanding of .NET / Java a plus
