Role Description:

• The User Interface/User Experience Designer will be responsible for concepting and designing features that are the best user experience and design to match .
• This includes features on the e-commerce website as well as our back-end tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a current awareness of the digital design space to be able to advocate for new technology and ideas as they gain traction.
  
• Discover ways of improving existing features to deliver against both established KPIs and overall brand experience.
  
• Identify ways to utilize elements of digital design to improve the perceived experience across each of our platforms.
  
• Wire-frame potential solutions to business requests.
  
• Bring visual designs and interfaces to life with animation effects and transitions.
  
• Implement UI interactions and/or communicate detailed requirements to developers.
  
• Identify and communicate design rationale and trade-offs to key stakeholders.
  
• Help to create a modern and elegant visual language that spans devices.
  

Qualifications:

• Responsive design awareness (grid layout, responsive type sizing, icon fonts, SVG, responsive image serving, responsive vs. adaptive, etc.)
  
• High-level front end tech and performance concepts
  
• Designing for perceived performance
  
• E-Commerce UX best practices
  
• Wire-framing (Sketch, etc.)
  
• Graphic/Digital design fundamentals (Photoshop)
  
• Excellent project communications competency
  
• Digital UI concepts (modals, interstitial, hamburger icon, etc.)
