Job Description

  • Provide direct Supply Chain System development support as well as systems and operational oversight.
  • Development environments include IBM Cognos TM1, Cognos/MicroSoft BI, Oracle/JDE, MS Access, MS Excel, Kinaxis Rapid Response, SQL Server and integration between them.

Key Job Accountabilities

  • Supply Chain Systems Support Support the development, execution and maintenance of Supply Chain Systems in support of operations, procurement, planning, risk management and supply chain productivity.
  • Analyze supply chain data, including internal and external sources to make recommendations for system enhancements.
  • Customer Service Excellence Support related supply chain departments in the analysis of supply chain solutions to meet the business requirements of new and existing customers.
  • End User Support Provide daily oversight and operational management of Supply Chain Analysis systems.
  • Run tasks to complete required processing in support of end users and Plexus Global Supply Chain.
  • Highlight data quality issues and drive improvements.
  • Provide data driven business recommendations to drive competitive advantages.
  • System Documentation Maintain accurate documentation of all Supply Chain Systems to a level sufficient to recreate the systems in part or in whole to current operating version.
  • Systems Training Train the organization to use Supply Chain related tools and concepts.
  • Create necessary training documents to document standard processes and procedures involved in the day to day use of the system.
  • Provide training to those who will need to be able to properly use and/or execute tasks using the system.

Additional Accountabilities & Job Functions

  • On a self-directed basis complete design and development work within system environment to achieve design system goals for information retrieval, presentation, speed and accuracy.
  • Maintain tools and publish performance measurement metrics and dashboards.
  • Develop and manage the Supply Chain website as a means for distributing reports and performance metrics as well as a source for presentation and training documentation.
  • Understand and be able to explain the implications of supply chain principles as they relate to demand management, supply planning, inventory optimization, procurement, and supply chain risk management.
  • Travel to sites for hands on management of projects and exposure to day to day operational aspects of supply chain methods and general site level practices.

Education/Experience

  • A minimum of a(n) Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience for this position; a(n) Bachelor\'s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or Information Technology .
  • Experience of 3 year(s) in a Supply Chain or Operations role for this position, assuming education requirements are met. Equivalent Supply Chain industry experience of or more years is highly desirable.
  • Certification or evidence of training/experience in IBM/Cognos BI and TM1 development desired.
  • Experience with Kinaxis Rapid Response desired
  • Skills/Abilities (Only list skills and abilities required to do the job)
  • Understanding of relational and multi-dimensional databases and structures and familiarity with SQL syntax and querying.
  • Fluent in MS Office products including, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio.
  • Independent thinking and sound judgment.
  • Strong ability to handle multiple projects or tasks while effectively prioritizing to meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to follow through on assignments with little to no supervision.
