  • The Supply Chain Manager will manage the purchasing and inventory control functions within established guidelines and standards to produce on time, high quality, low cost product in a safe and clean environment.
  • Provides support to production scheduling on all material flow issues to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Collaborates with operations team in planning and forecasting of customer orders to delivery due dates.
  • Provides consistent, fair, and timely feedback to team and leadership members through one-on-one discussions, performance reviews, coaching, mentoring, and training in accordance with company culture and supportive of behaviors.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Coaches and mentors members of supply chain team at multiple (2) sites to elevate effective of individuals in this function.
  • Manages local daily activities of the purchasing, inventory control, shipping and receiving functions.
  • Establishes goals and metrics for supply chain team; provides feedback; evaluates performance to goals; reports results.
  • Develops sourcing strategy with internal clients for assigned advanced solutions projects.
  • Leads pricing/contract negotiations in conjunction with the site level team(s).
  • Oversees contract negotiations and management for suppliers (performance agreements, NDA, Ts & Cs) at multiple sites.
  • Leads supplier consolidation and rationalization (selection/reduction/standardization).
  • Establishes and develops key supplier relationships; leads supplier business reviews & other meetings, as required.
  • Defines supplier cost, quality, and delivery improvement plans with suppliers by considering new geographic locations, value-added projects, vendor consolidation, etc.
  • Drives use of lean tools for continuous performance.
  • Supervises project execution of re-sourcing from one provider to another (internal or external).
  • Prepares budgets and drives savings targets in procurement.
  • Monitors performance against key metrics for Purchasing (suppliers scorecard, cost and risk mitigation, PPV, suppliers PPM, etc.).
  • Complies with procedures, requirements, governmental, environmental, legal and tax established policies and other procedures of the organization, quality and environmental policies according to IMI Quality system.
  • Manages and develops a team of people, while ensuring adequate support and appropriate training is provided to develop talent and future leaders.
  • In conjunction with operations, implement material control systems to ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained and adopted. Helps improve production process by optimizing on-hand materials, lead times, cycle times, and scrap reduction.
  • Manages and maintains effective communication with all internal and external partners, such as suppliers, members of the Management team, Manufacturing,Quality Assurance, and Marketing and/or the Director of Operations.
  • Leads and/or participates in vertical and/or regional strategic procurement initiatives, as required.
  • Provides the General Manager, Financial Director and Operations Director regular reporting on challenges and issues.
  • Travels to develop or support vendors and customers and other business objectives for multiple (2) sites; including domestic and occasional international travel to other IMI sites or vendor locations.
