Job Description:

What You Will Be Expected To Do:

  • Ability to assemble a WordPress site from a design and work with other developers to structure the site in a fashion that aligns with company sales and marketing goals.
  • Ability to solve business problems and friction with technology.
  • Create solutions that can be easily maintained and curated by content administrators and other entities.
  • Proven experience with content syndication and aggregation via web service APIs, XML, JSON, and REST.
  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, engineer, debug, and analyze complex software applications using WordPress, asp.net and .net from start to finish.
  • Protects site by developing and installing security precautions.
  • Build and maintain a variety of WordPress sites on our existing platform.
  • Write and maintain custom plugins and responsive themes.
  • Work with project managers and teams to deliver with quality and adhere to timelines.
  • Ability to provide user friendly site administration, documentation, and guidance to content contributors.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and outside development/design agencies to complete projects.
  • Work with online marketing team to make sure the website functions properly for SEO and SEM as well as the proper display of data.
  • Ability to work independently in an agile environment.
What We Are Looking For:

  • 2+ years of experience with WordPress and PHP, ideally with WordPress Multisite experience
  • Front-end skills - HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, Other Javascript libraries, Bootstrap and Responsive Design.
  • Back-end skills - Experience building custom themes, plugins, widgets, WordPress filters, WordPress hooks and etc.
  • Associates degree in web development related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Version Control (GitHub, Subversion, etc.).
  • Knowledge of web performance optimization, caching and SEO ideally in a WordPress Multisite environment.
  • Experience working with APIs - SOAP, REST and other.
  • Some experience with integrations with third party CRM platforms such as Dynamics, CRM, Salesforce and Sales Fusion
  • Work within current marketing & creative team to develop and maintain highly visible web sites.
  • Developing and supporting reusable internal tools to support the various departments.
  • Set up, manage, and configure hosting environments.
  • Proactively perform cross-browser testing and optimizations.
  • Maintain well-documented, reusable, and transferrable code.
  • Maintain working knowledge of new development software, trends, and practices related to your responsibilities.
