Responsible for developing and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications. Involved in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, test case automation and test execution. Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status. Collects and analyzes data for software process evaluation and improvements, and integrates them into business processes to address the needs of the business. Documents all problems and assists in their resolution. Delivers quality process training to technical staff and acts as an internal quality consultant to advise or influence business or technical partners. Performs quality audits across the various IT functions to ensure quality standards, procedures and methodologies are being followed.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience. Typically has 0 to 3 years of systems development, testing and/or business experience.

Responsibilities
• Build and execute test cases to verify that Comcast’s applications for TV Streaming devices (Roku, Samsung) meet requirements and customer needs
• Analyze market and customer usage patterns to recommend devices that will ensure maximum coverage during testing
• Collaborate with the development team while features are being built to become more familiar with what is being implemented and how, as well as review use cases together
• Investigate new tools and technologies make testing efforts faster and more effective
• Analyze and help triage defects raised by customers, both internal and external

Attributes for Success
• One plus years of experience working with streaming TV applications (e.g. Roku, Samsung TV, Apple TV, Android TV)
• Ability to capture and analyze device and web service logs
• Effective bug reporting including prioritization, steps to reproduce, and repeatability
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Multi-tasking – need to be able to handle multiple ongoing releases across more than one platform at any given time
• Experience with iOS and Android mobile application testing is a plus
