Role:Technical Business Intelligence Developer Loc:Columbus, OH Description This position will join the existing Business Intelligence team and will primarily work within the team to create, design, develop, test, maintain and support data analytics and business intelligence reporting tools and solutions. Responsibilities Develop, maintain and enhance Business Intelligence Solutions including database systems, Data Warehouses, SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services, Oracle Business Intelligence tools and other BI systems as appropriate Problem solve and debug complex Business Intelligence systems, including database systems and Data Warehouses to allow defect analysis and fixing Identify, recommend, and prioritize new business intelligence reporting features and applications in conjunction with business requirements Conduct research and attend training for current and emerging business intelligence technologies in support of reporting needs Create and Maintain end-user documentation Work within existing standards and procedures governing software development, change management, and documentation Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, training sessions and reviewing professional publications Work with management to understand and prioritize data and information requirements Work with other Information Technology to ensure BI environment is supported Additional Information The company will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this position. Desired Skills and Experience Requirements Bachelors degree in Information Science, Business Management, Statistics, Computer Science or related majors. 3 + years of experience in BI Analysis/BI Development/Programming Proficiency in SQL Programming Experience in designing SQL Server database objects, views, functions and stored procedures. Experience in Microsoft BI Stack, SSRS reporting, Power BI Strong knowledge of MS Office. Advanced skills in MS Excel Strong .NET and VBA Programming skills. Knowledge of Oracle EBS desirable. Strong Knowledge of SharePoint and SharePoint Designer is desirable Knowledge of Hadoop is desirable. Strong analytical and problem solving skills are a must. Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user request from the underlying true needs. Ability to meet deadlines a must. Dependable and self-directed; capable of working with minimal supervision. Conscientious, accurate, and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Excellent oral & written communication skills. Knowledge of service industry a plus.
