Job Description:

Role:Sr. Developer/Administrator (WebMethods) Location:Chicago, IL Job Responsibilities: 1. Supports full life cycle (planning, analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment) of webMethods based solutions. 2. Supports sustained operations including troubleshooting production and QA issues of deployed webMethods based solutions. 3. Functions as an SME on webMethods based solutions (Integration Server, Broker Trading Networks, MWS and Designer) leveraging previous professional experience with webMethods to share technical knowledge with teammates. 4. Participates in code reviews to ensure the application design and related work products satisfy business requirements including assisting teammates to produce deliverables in compliance with standard procedures. 5. Provides necessary project management artifacts as required including status, project planning, and reporting. 6. Proactively identifies and communicates issues and risks to the team lead or end user to facilitate timely resolution. 7. Maintains system integrity and appropriate patches to support the health and long-term performance of the webMethods products and capabilities. 8. Follows and executes long-range requirements, operational guidelines, and security and integrity controls, including all the necessary process steps, information exchanges, and business rules. 9. Schedules, plans, and oversees webMethods server restarts, system upgrades, and applications fixes. 10. Responsible for webMethods code deployments and rollbacks of enhancements and new projects. Education and Job Requirements: B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field technical areas or equivalent business experience. 8 years experience in the analysis, design, development, implementation and support of technology solutions. 4+ years in Web Services type of applications or equivalent. 4+ years developing multi-threaded and event-driven systems design and message-oriented middleware. Experience as the liaison between the customer/user and the tiered levels of technical support, i.e. developers, support analysts, systems administrators, etc. Project management methodology experience and/or training. Equipment/Software Skills: Comprehensive knowledge and experience in UNIX (AIX) administration and database (DB2). Full life-cycle development and sustainment operations experience for webMethods (Integration Server, Broker, Trading Networks, MWS) based solutions. Working knowledge of SAP ERP processes and transactions. Application development experience with Web Services (XML-SOAP). Strong technical background in application administration and sustainment operations experience for webMethods based solutions (Integration Server, Broker, Trading Networks, Process Model (BPM), Deployer and MyWebMethods). Knowledge of professional systems administration (AIX). Experience with wM SAP adapter preferred.
