Job Description:
The Manager, Data Integration will lead and manage data integration teams through successful delivery of data solutions to address enterprise project needs. Will build and maintain relationships within IT (development team and architecture teams) as well as within the business. Performs all people leader tasks including but not limited to, manage work assignments, schedule, guide and monitor work performance, coaching, mentoring, and training. This Manager, Data Integration will be expected to learn or bring experience in the following technologies: Highly available / High volume DBMS (e.g., DB2 Purescale, Teradata), HADOOP (or other big data technology), Ab Initio, Mulesoft or Message Broker (or comparable service/messaging tool), Master Data Management. This leader will also need to facilitate a strong partnership with our Managed Services delivery partner.
Set the strategic direction and establish plans and methodologies relative to development/selection/implementation of technological business solutions for data integration, data consumption, and business intelligence needs. Act as technical escalation point for data integration functionality.
Partner with the business teams in sales, marketing and operations to define, develop and implement data integration solutions.
Conduct effective resource management in a fluid, fast-paced environment to insure all project goals are delivered as committed; supporting the Managed Services partner appropriately
Provide staff with well-defined job expectations, ongoing performance feedback, and accurate and timely performance appraisals, coaching/mentoring and/or training.
Stay abreast of industry trends and developments relative to Data Integration and/or Business Intelligence (BI) technology.
Hiring Requirements
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or technical discipline
Minimum of 8 years IT experience and 4 years experience in data integration.
If no degree, a minimum of 10 years of IT experience with a minimum of 4 years experience in data integration.
3 years experience in a leadership role either as a direct people leader or leading work teams
Hiring Preferences
Knowledge of data integration approaches including traditional batch patterns, as well as, online transaction processing through message based architectures.
Experience with a formal Systems Development Life Cycle methodology.
Experience with different delivery models such as Managed Services, Onshore / Offshore, staff augmentation.

Understanding and experience of data modeling, design and architecture, data integration, business intelligence and technologies.

Ability to present technical concepts (such as technical infrastructure designs, data mappings and flows, report design and development) to various audiences.
Excellent customer service orientation to both our internal and external customers.
