Job description Primary Objective of Position The Senior Manager/Associate Director, Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence will have responsibility for Data Management capabilities that include Data Warehouse, Operational Data Hub, Master Data Management (MDM), Data Exchange, Data Integration (ETL, APIs, Web Services) and Business Intelligence. The primary objective of this role is to ensure that Commercialization\'s Data Management disciplines are running effectively, meeting business service level agreements, adhering to compliance requirements while safeguarding against data loss and corruption. This is a technical hands-on management position. Major Duties/Responsibilities Data Integration solution design and implementation that includes ETL, EAI, MFT, Web Services and end user BI tools Responsible for DWH and BI business requirements definition from Commercial Operations, Commercial Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Medical Affairs Operations, Finance and Supply Chain, taking into account needs for critical data capture analysis, data quality, and business rule Refines data governance strategies and optimizes the underlying systems and processes for data governance including data quality, meta data management, data lineage and data protection Oversees the ongoing enhancement and operations of a Business Intelligence and Enterprise Data Architecture that enables fact-based decision making and ad hoc analysis and insight generation Partners with business leaders to ensure understanding of business processes and how they impact MDM, DWH and BI requirements for KPIs and Reporting Metrics Provides overall management for Operational Data Store/Operational Data Hub and Enterprise Data Warehouse, Data Exchange (MFT), BI platforms and ensures SLAs are maintained Leads on site and off-shore Data Stewardship teams to merge and clean data from disparate data sources Manages multiple vendors and data partners across the Commercialization Data Management landscape that includes Incentive Compensation, Sales Aggregation, Aggregated Spend, Customer Master sources, Competitive Intelligence, Digital Marketing sources Leads the establishment of master data sources of critical business data (KOL, Customers, Medical Affairs and Sales Rep Alignment, Medical Affairs and Sales Call Details and Sales Data) while maintaining secure firewalls between Medical Affairs and Sales data Stays abreast of new products and tools in the DWH and Business Intelligence market, conducting research on emerging trends and developments that could support future business growth Skills & Abilities Experience with Data Stewardship, Data Quality Management and Data Architecture Standardization Previous exposure to Cloud data integration and management.in an AWS/Azure environment Hands-on experience with Business Intelligence design, and reporting tools such as Tableau or Qlikview Experience of enterprise repository tools, data modeling tools, ETL and EAI data mapping tools, middleware services (Cleo) Experience with SOA development on large and medium scale software projects Experience developing conceptual and physical architectures for solutions incorporating heterogeneous applications, technologies and platforms (Veeva, Oracle, Sales Aggregation, Ag. Spend, Incentive Compensation) Ability to identify root cause for poor data quality, implement solutions and communicate findings to employees, management, and stakeholders to ensure that systems are reporting correct information 15+ years of IS experience, preferably in small to mid-scale business software implementation projects (ERP, CRM, ODH, MFT, EDW, BI) Master Data Hub Architecture, data design and implementation Working knowledge of data architecture industry trends e.g. Big Data, Hadoop Physical Demands The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary functions of this position. Travel as needed (up to 15% expected, including possible international travel) Education & Professional Experience Relevant Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Sciences, MIS, Life Sciences, Business; or equivalent experience. TOGAF/Zachman ETL, EAI, SOAP, IaaS, SaaS, dBaaS, sFTP Veeva CRM, Veeva Network, Veeva Vault, SSIS, Tableau, Oracle Cloud, Cleo MFT Strong knowledge of SDLC and agile development concepts Modeling Techniques: Use Cases, Swim Lanes, Workflow, Activity Diagrams A minimum of 10 years relevant Data Warehouse, MDM and BI experience in the Life Sciences industry is crucial for this role with exposure to various Regulatory and Compliance standards (SOX, PHI, HIPPA, CSV, GxP) Special Training DWH/BI Advanced Certifications are recommended SDL2017
