Job Description:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the accurate preparation, processing and timely distribution of multi-state payroll, including commissions/bonuses, benefits and taxes to US employees, ensuring it is consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws
Process international payrolls accurately and timely ensuring they are consistent with local laws
Manage and develop payroll staff
Ensure the timely and accurate processing of all tax filing and remittance, amended returns, payroll adjustments, W2Cs and tax notices
Prepare payroll and benefit related journal entries
Manage the preparation of periodic analysis and reports as requested by internal/external auditors, tax department, finance, subsidiaries and/or regulatory agencies
Ensure the accurate and timely processing of new hires, transfers, promotions and terminations
Review and analyze current payroll, HRIS and tax procedures in order to recommend and implement changes leading to best-practice operations
Audit W-4s, payroll balance sheets, YTD earnings, etc.
Manage payroll system including implementations, maintenance, QA testing of payroll and time & attendance systems
Interact daily with employees, supervisors, and managers in an effort to provide payroll support
Develop strong working relationships with all teams within the organizations
May manage ad hoc compensation projects, including, but not limited to: organization structure grading/pay analysis, structure analysis for specific grade/function requests, new structure/grade development and approvals

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

8 years of payroll experience, including 2 years of international payroll experience (EMEA, China, etc.)
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; CPP designation a plus
ADP experience required; ADP Workforce Now a plus
Managerial/supervisory experience required
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic proficiency Word and PowerPoint
Expert knowledge of Federal/State payroll laws
Experience with market data submissions/analysis related to compensation and total rewards a plus
Ability to plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously; strong organizational skills
Strong quantitative and analytical skills and solid financial acumen
Experience working for a public company preferred
Demonstrated ability to work with and maintain confidential information
CAN DO attitude
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment within the department as well as cross-functionally
