Job description The Cloud Service Reliability Engineer will architect, design and implement a new cutting edge cloud platform for transforming business applications into scalable elastic systems that can be instantiated on demand. This is a highly technical role on the core engineering team and is responsible for operating the cloud platforms and developing and implementing the operation tools and processes necessary to improve reliability during the Cloud SDLC and then during production use by clients. Cloud operations include deployment and maintenance of the platform infrastructure as well as diagnosis and remediation of development support issues or escalation to Cloud Engineering or Client Engagement where appropriate. You will be responsible for driving technical innovation and efficiency in infrastructure operations via hands-on development of tools and automation and by providing feedback and design contributions to the portfolio of cloud products. Responsibilities Deployment, upgrade, configuration and maintenance of the cloud platform Development and documentation of mechanisms for deployment, monitoring and maintenance. Diagnosis and remediation of service level issues and engagement with internal support and engineering teams and third party suppliers as required Development and operation of support tools for control, instrumentation and investigation. Development and execution of tests to measure and ensure levels of availability and performance. Requirements 7 to 10 years of infrastructure with experience on Windows / Linux, x86 hardware, networking (DNS, Routing, Switching) and storage technologies. 3 to 5 years of experience with virtualization technologies like OpenStack, VMWare, Azure, AWS, etcâ?¦ Experience with automation tools (Team City, Ansible, Puppet or Chef), MS Visual Studio, Source Code management (TFS, GIT, Stash). Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities. Good organizational, management, written and communication skills. Must be a self-starter who is able to work in a fast paced, results driven environment. Familiarity with the Azure Services Fabric and microservices. Experience with IIS, .NET, MSSQL, NoSQL, Cassandra/MongoDB and web technologies. Experience with other programming languages like Python or Java a plus.
