Business Development Manager
Reports to: Executive Vice President
This Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and assessing local markets, clients and opportunities, as well as creating and managing a customer portfolio through prospecting and regular follow up.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify, develop, and maintain client contacts and project opportunities with key prospects for the region
Facilitate relationship-building activities and assists with the development of staff to improve client relationship management skills
Advocating for the positioning of multi-dimensional service offerings within the Chicago area and Midwest regional markets
Building upon the teams growing design and delivery reputation and promoting their expertise through involvement in boards, industry organizations, and other activities along with fostering relationships with the brokerage, development and direct client communities
Proactively researching, identifying, & qualifying opportunities that support the strategic goals of the firm
Serving as the responsible and knowledgeable face of when engaging prospective clients or other influencers
Ensuring that the practice evolves in a manner which is consistent with Company goals and core values
Setting overall project targets, budgets and other key performance indicators
Securing a sufficient number of the appropriate assignments to meet the firms overall business goal
Participate in business development activities through participation / membership in professional organizations (i.e. SMPS, AIA, ILCMA, IML, ILA, SCUP etc)
Participate in Business Development strategic planning
