Job description The Electrical Performance Engineer shall provide the following support services to all facilities operated by client: Assist Facility Managers with analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving electrical and control system problems as they occur. Work with client electricians and outside electrical contractors to resolve electrical and controls issues. Define work scopes, develop cost and schedule estimates and manage third party electrical testing and maintenance activities in operating plants. Support the administration of the companyâ??s facility change process to assure that required facility changes are performance enhancing and cost effective, and help ensure that the changed system is appropriately tested, facility operators are trained, technical documents are updated and all executed changes are accepted by the facility staff. Monitor and evaluate operating plant electrical system performance to assure facility reliability and readiness to maintain compliance with approved Pro Forma objectives. Support preparation of the electrical aspects of periodic facility performance evaluation reports. Support implementation and ongoing use of the company?wide computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) with respect to electrical and control systems. Assist all facility managers with the execution of the Preventive and Corrective Maintenance activities when needed. Periodic review and updating of each facilityâ??s Preventive Maintenance Program, in conjunction with the Facility Manager. Establish and oversee the company?wide electrical and instrumentation systems preventive maintenance and calibration programs. Perform periodic thermo?graphic monitoring and recording of all major electrical equipment to help identify corrective maintenance requirements prior to experiencing equipment damage or failure. Develop and publish thermographic inspection reports. Provide input to business development staff for electrical operations opportunities with potential new clients. Manage and maintain facility distributed control systems, protective relay settings, programmable logic controller functionality and arc flash regulations compliance Qualifications BS Electrical Engineering, MS preferred. Ten plus years electrical engineering experience, preferably encompassing design, construction and plant operations. At least 3 years of electrical and controls testing Familiarity with NETA standards and their applications in the power industry The Electrical Performance Engineer shall be able to demonstrate the following Abilities Understand overall plant power system operations and electronics as necessary
