Overall Summary:

Responsible for to maintain EMC Laband assist R&D in expeditious approval of surgical medical devices in theglobal markets through the EMC testing and certification of Alcon product tothe EMC and Wireless requirements

Job Description:

• Responsible to maintain the Alcon EMC Lab and update as necessary lab equipment, calibration and testing capabilities (in EMC & Safety labs) to satisfy the current internal and external (audit) requirements.
• Equipment calibration and verification prior to the test.
• Update EMC/EMI software of test equipment.
• Performvalidation of test software.
• MaintainEMC/Safety test equipment calibration list

• Ensures the safety, reliability, and cleaning of the Alcon EMC lab and all its equipment.
• Configuring EMC/EMI test equipment and perform testing scans in Alcon EMC Lab. Also supporting in troubleshooting of issues with R&D Engineers  
• Take product to outside lab to perform qualification tests and certification as per the IEC60601-1-2 standard.
• Experience in testing and Familiar with IEC 60601-1-2 medical EMC standard.
• Generate EMC test reports

Job Requirements:

·        Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).

·        5+ years of experience with EMC testing of electrical equipment andcertification of wireless devices. Experience with Product Safety testingrequirements is a plus.

·        Experience with EMC test equipment is required.

·        Familiar of IEC 60601-1-2 medical EMC standard.

·        Knowledge of the requirements of FCC, IC, ETSI standards for wirelessdevices.

·        Excellent verbal and written communications skills
