Job Title: SAP Business Objects/Tableau Developer
Location: Rockville, MD
Duration: 6 months CTH
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Universes and reports created in SAP Business Objects version 4.1 and higher
Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Tableau 9.2-based data sources, dashboards, and visualizations
Work with users, stakeholders, and requirements analysts to understand and translate requirements
Work with users to identify and resolve support and change requests
Use SQl to profile and validate data quality
Support impact analysis of user requested changes/requirements to support the development of level of effort estimates to implement changes
Use appropriate development tools and methodologies to design, develop, enhance, and maintain BO reports and Tableau dashboards
Conduct unit test cases and document test results; support the test team in performance/load testing
Provide support for the development/update of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) documents
Mandatory Qualifications (Education, Certifications, Experience, Skills)
3+ yearsâ?? experience as a hands-on BI developer designing, developing, maintaining, troubleshooting Business Objects Universes and reports and data visualization dashboards using SAP Business Objects 4.1 and Tableau 9.2, in support of O&M and enhancement releases
Strong skills in the understanding and use of Business Objects folders and views
2+ yearsâ?? experience working as a member of full life cycle development teams in large projects in support of mission critical programs
2+ yearsâ?? experience in the use of database query languages/tools like SQL; Ability to understand complex SQL queries and views, in an Oracle 12C environment, and in the ability to fine tune queries to retrieve data
2+ yearsâ?? experience in productivity tools (MS Office, Excel) and use of software configuration management tools e.g. SVN, Clearcase
BA or BS degree in computer science, software engineering, or related technical field
Good oral and written communication skills
Ability to obtain public trust security clearance
Candidates must meet the client 3-year US residency requirements (having resided in the United States for at least 3 of the prior 5 years)
