Job Description:
Job Responsibilities:
Provides a high level of customer service as the primary contact for benefit related employee inquiries.
Develop relationships with brokers and benefit carriers to effectively administer benefit processes and resolve problems.
Work closely with payroll to confirm employee benefit elections and ensure accurate deductions.
Assist with annual open enrollment process including communication materials, coordination of open enrollment seminars, maintaining status of employee enrollments.
Reconcile monthly premiums with benefit carriers. Research discrepancies as needed.
Participate on project teams for health & wellness and HRIS related activities as well as other HR initiatives throughout client.
Job Qualifications:
Required 1 to 3 years background in an HR function
BA/BS Degree required
Highly proficient in all aspects of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Prior HRIS experience required
Strong customer service and communication skills
Knowledge of federal and state regulations, filings and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefit programs including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers compensation, Medicare, PPACA and Social Security and DOL requirements
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously and independently; Detail oriented
Exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong collaborative style
Ability and comfort level handling and protecting highly confidential and sensitive information
A potent balance of professionalism and a great sense of humor
Ability to travel 10-15%, with frequent travel to NY upon hire for training
Ability to work staggered schedule 1-2 times per week; 6:00 AM â?? 2:00 PM and/or 12:00 PM â?? 8:00 PM
