Position Summary
Responsible for all Quality Assurance operations including organization, policy and procedure formulation, systems, budget and manpower forecasts and equipment for the entire quality function.
Essential Job Functions
Responsible for maintaining the quality program to ensure that the organization\'s Quality Management System (AS9100) conforms to customer and regulatory requirements
Manage the monitoring, measurement, and review of internal processes, especially those that affect the quality of the organization\'s products
Interface with management, customers and other representatives in the planning, scheduling, coordinating and directing the quality assurance program in conformance with customer requirements, engineering specifications and production schedules
Maintains, analyzes, and interprets quality data for reporting to management on the performance of the QMS (e.g., results of quality audits, corrective actions) including the need for improvement
Maintains an effective material review board and disposition program
Coordinates responses and actions to audit or product deficiency reports and assures implementation and effectiveness
Responsible for meeting company yearly quality department productivity objectives via efficiency and technology enhancements
Responsible for quality cost reporting and making recommendations to reduce same
Ensure evaluation of and reporting on, supplier quality performance.
Lead a department of Quality Engineers, inspectors and auditors
