Position Overview
The Product Director, Stop Loss will be responsible for all aspects of Stop Loss strategy, planning and execution with the goal of achieving and maintaining the company's position as a premier provider of supplementary health insurance. This leader will have oversight of cross-functional teams of (finance, legal, operations, underwriting, marketing) involved in management and execution of new and existing Stop Loss products and supporting services.
Essential Elements
Assume responsibility and accountability for key activities supporting product line P&L
Develop and maintain an ongoing assessment of the marketplace incorporating insights produced through customer contact, win/loss reporting, distribution relationships, voice of customer initiatives, regulatory environment and competitive intelligence
Create a multiyear product strategy and business plan outlining key objectives, initiatives, and relative priorities
Define the external market and competitive environment as context for the for the line of business strategy
Assess product line position relative to market requirements and competitive environment
Improve customer experience through enhancements to existing products, processes, and systems, etc.
Oversee the continuous evaluations, review, and maintenance of existing product offering, marketing materials, and Stop Loss product centric training programs
Modify the product / service as necessary to ensure the competitive position of the Stop Loss product suite
Lead, direct, and coordinate cross-functional teams executing high priority projects supporting the line of business plans
Support Sales leadership in the development and management of customer, channel partner, and service provider relationships through effective communication
Promote the brand through customer relationship development and thought leadership.
Collaborate with the Marketing unit in the development and execution of product marketing strategy and execution
Represent Stop Loss in the external market, including but not limited to meetings with key producer partners, attendance at large scale industry events, Company events, and social media
