We are seeking an Electrical Engineer for assignment in Anchorage, Alaska.
The selected candidate will independently apply standard industrial electrical engineering techniques and analyses for design deliverables at our clients engineering office.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pmResponsibilitiesSupport Design in producing deliverables, contract drawings and documents, design calculations and analysisPresent power system strategies to clients for small to large projectsPrepare and/or supervise engineering reports, studies, and calculationsResearch suitable solutionsIndependently evaluate the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria and systems to efficiently meet project goals.
Provide technical review of electrical equipment submittals from vendors or other engineering service providers
Provide technical guidance and support to drafters/designers and other engineersOversee electrical design including cable/conduit schedules, control panel layout and wiring on typical small-capital (typically less than $1MM total cost) industrial projectsPrepare specifications and drawings, design and analyze power systems, perform system integration, support start up and commissioning activities, support routine maintenance activities for electrical equipment.
Drive ownership of health & safety in all aspects of project execution, office and personal environments.
QualificationsBachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering; or Equivalent work experience with a PE15 + years of electrical industrial electrical engineering and design with strong technical skillsSuperior knowledge of electrical power generation, transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, heat trace, motor control and power distribution systems (and other typical industrial electrical equipment) is requiredProfessional Engineer License (PE) is required
